The LUTs aren’t showing up in Speedgrade.
We do not recommend installing LUTs so that they show up directly in the Speedgrade LUT menu. Since the menu is vertically structured the large number of LUT files from our collections would clutter up the interface.
It's much better to use the 'Generic Installation' and manually load LUTs from one unified directory on your hard drive as described in the video tutorial above.
WIN: Program Files/VisionColor/OSIRIS
I still want LUTs to show up in the drop down menu!
First, make sure that you don’t confuse LUTs with Speedgrade .Look files! 3D LUTs are applied in Speedgrade simply by clicking the plus button + in the layer stack and selecting LUT from the dropdown. The LUT panel then opens up with another dropdown where your previously installed LUTs will show up.
To manually install LUTs to show up in Speedgrade copy the .cube files (without being nested in any additional sub-folders) to this folder:
MAC: Library/Applications/Adobe SpeedGrade CC*/Adobe SpeedGrade CS6.app/Contents/MacOS/LUTs
PC: HD://Program Files/Adobe/Adobe SpeedGrade CC*/LUTs
CC* = your version of Speedgrade
Can I convert .cube LUTs to .LOOK files?
Yes. You can follow the above instructions to add LUTs to your footage, make any additional adjustments you want and save your entire grade as a .LOOK file which is going to bake in the LUT transforms. You can learn more about saving .LOOK presets in this article by Adobe: https://helpx.adobe.com/speedgrade/using/share-reuse-looks.html
OSIRIS is slowing down Speedgrade performance.
Please use our online LUT conversion app to scale the native 64³ OSIRIS LUTs down to 32³ patches. This is going to increase playback performance in Speedgrade.
